How do I start the bespoke process

To start the process of creating your own bespoke piece simply contact Gary James by phone or email and we will happily call you back to further discuss your requirements. for more information on the process please check out our bespoke page.

How can I purchase one of your rings?

We do not sell our products via the website or any other retailer. If you wish to purchase please contact Gary James via phone, email or website enquiry. We can arrange a no obligation consultation to discuss your initial requirements.

How quickly can you create and deliver a bespoke piece?

The timeline for product turnaround depends on how complex the style is. We can produce certain styles in as little as a few days or it may take up to a few weeks. We would be happy to discuss this and will keep your informed throughout the process.

Can I see my ring before buying?

No. We make each piece to order and to your specific requirements. This not only ensures that all of your requirements are met, but also that we can offer the best pricing options by not holding stock.
In 35 years of business we have not had one customer who has not been delighted with the end result.

Can you help me with making something as a surprise?

Absolutely. We like nothing more than helping a customer create something special. We will hold your hand and help and advise throughout the whole process.

Can I add an engraved inscription to the ring?

Absolutely! We can add engraved inscription no problem at all. We are only limited by the amount of space inside the band. We will be able to discuss the possibilities during our free consultation.

Are there any limits to what you can design and recreate?

No! There is nothing outside of our limits and with our team of experts we are firm believers that if is doable, we can do it.

Which metals do you recommend?

Our recommendations depend entirely on your requirements, budgets and the type of jewellery you are looking to produce. We will discuss all of this during your initial consultation.

Where are your rings manufactured?

All of our jewellery is manufactured to order in one of Gary James partner workshops.

What happens once I've placed my order?

After we have received your initial instructions and deposit payment, you sit back and we will start immediate production, keeping you informed along the way until completion.

How are the rings packaged?

All finished pieces will be delivered to you in an elegant jewellery box.

Can I see the diamonds or gemstones before buying?

Yes, this is what separates us from other bespoke jewellery manufacturers. We can show you a carefully considered selection to physically choose from rather than picking from an online list. We will talk you through the differences and help break the misconception that good diamonds cost the earth.

Can I upgrade my diamonds in future?

Yes. We will always try to accommodate what you wish for and can repurpose or remodel any pieces to make improvements.

Can I use my own diamonds or gemstones?

Yes. We can use your stones and add extra, if necessary, to create your bespoke piece of jewellery. At Gary James, we love repurposing stones with sentimental value to give them a new lease of life.

Where do your diamonds come from?

All of our diamonds are sourced from certified diamond dealers and are 100% guaranteed not to be conflict or unethically sourced.

What types of diamonds and gemstones do you offer?

Everything! If it is available, we can supply it. Feel free to browse our core collection to give some examples of the products we have created.

How do I measure my ring size?

We can measure your finger as part of the consultation process. Alternatively, most high street jewellers will be happy to measure your finger for you, or we can take a measurement from an existing ring of yours, or we can send you a plastic finger measuring tape

Im buying a ring for somebody else but don't know the size. Can you help?

Yes. Although it is ideal to get it right from the start we can resize the ring for a small fee.

What if I need the ring resized?

No problem. Return the ring to us and we will resize for a small fee.

What payment methods do you accept?

All major methods of payment are accepted.

What is the starting price for a bespoke ring?

That’s a difficult one as there are so many factors to consider. The metal content, the stones content and the labour content are the main factors that determine the cost.
It can be from a few hundred pounds to many thousands. Our prices are extremely competitive against high street retailers.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes.

Are there any shipping fees or taxes that I will have to pay?

To the UK shipping is included, VAT is charged at the applicable rate.
Outside of the UK it varies from country to country.

How will the parcel be delivered?

If you are not too far from our offices, we would be happy to hand deliver or meet you somewhere convenient. Alternatively, we use Royal Mail Special Delivery which guarantees next day by 1pm and will be fully insured during transit.

Can you ship to an alternative address

Yes, no problem

What is your return policy?

We will replace or repair anything that is faulty due to manufacture or parts defect within the first year. We can also repair, at a cost, accidental damage caused.

Can I reclaim VAT on my purchase?

You should be able to reclaim if you reside abroad.

Yes, we will keep you informed throughout the journey with us.

How should I care for my ring?

Can I send my ring in for polishing and cleaning?

Absolutely. For a small cost we can make it look as good as new.

How can I get my ring insured?

There are specialist insurance companies, although you may be covered on your household contents policy. It is advisable to check with your insurance provider
